Set within an Edwardian mansion block on Chiltern Street, this 300 sqft studio apartment was reimagined by MWAI as a refined micro-living space. The project focused on clarity, comfort and craft—transforming a compact footprint into a calm, minimalist home.
Working within the constraints of the Portman Estate, MWAI introduced bespoke joinery and carefully selected finishes to maximise functionality and elevate atmosphere. The master bedroom now includes a bespoke framed washstand in a minimalist ensuite, while the kitchen—designed in collaboration with DOIG—offers clean lines and concealed storage.
Wardrobes and vanity units were crafted by Virtue Joinery, with MWAI BUILD overseeing the construction. Every element was tailored to the client’s lifestyle, with a focus on materiality, proportion and light.
